What is Obamacare (Affordable Care Act)?

Obamacare, or the Affordable Care ActObamacare is the unofficial name for The Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act PPACA or just ACA) which was signed into law on March 23, 2010.  This law is very long and has many moving parts.  We recommend you call and speak to one our licensed ACA experts.  We can help you understand the new law, see if you qualify for a tax subsidy and sign you up for the right health insurance coverage for your situation and budget.

The ACA does a number of important things to reform health insurance including offering all insured new benefits, rights and protections. The ACA also outlines tax subsidies for lower income families and an expansion of Medicaid for the working poor. The ACA also mandated that all Americans are required to have health insurance or pay a penalty. The ACA also created a Health Insurance Marketplace where you can purchase health insurance and qualify for the tax subsidy.
